Her paintings of the Ozark-inspired scenes feature exclusively the lightfast pigments foraged from Madison county, Arkansas. In 2023 she began her journey into the world of oil painting with those same pigments. In 2018 she began experimenting with watercolor painting, using her local pigments. Madison Woods is a self-taught artist who moved to the Ozarks from south Louisiana in 2005. If you are interested in a set of my paints for yourself, check out my online shop to see what’s available. I haven’t decided yet… feel free to make suggestions! This is just an experiment, so I’m open to changes or suggestions as to which should be the next painting 🙂 After that I may do it monthly, or quarterly. The next sale will be in January, and will be a different painting. I’ll post it to social media and my website for the remaining two days.
